Acne treatment

At first, Acne is a common problem that faces mainly teenagers due to puberty hormonal changes. It could vary from mild comedons (white head, black head) to severe forms like cystic acne.

So what is the treatment of acne ?
  • Comedons (heads) treatment :

Topical retinoic acid ( Vit. A) cream or ointment, it's good but it causes irritation so take care and read carefully.

    * How to use (important) :

    - put a little amount (as pea seed) on both sides of your face -or where ever the acne-  on active lesions not scars, avoid touching your lips or eye lids, rub it gently.

    - put it at night and don't wash your face before it within 1 hour, then wash your face at morning.

    - the course should be gradual and divided into 3 parts, every part is 2 weeks in duration :
1- apply the ointment at night then stop for 2 nights i.e every 3 nights put it once.
2- every 2 nights put it once.
       3- every night.

    - The duration of the full course of acne treatment is 3 months, but during it you'll have to pause it and use an emollient to avoid side effects of the irritating retinoic acid (redness as example).

    - DON'T : sit in the bright light while the drug is on your skin, or TV or computer but may be faint light and avoid putting it during morning.

N.B if there is hyper pigmentation use Azaderm or Ezalic cream (safe in pregnancy).
We will talk later about the infected acne treatment so follow  "treatment of " blog :), Thanks
