| Warts on the big toe |
Warts are caused by a virus -human papilloma virus-, they are elevations on the skin or mucous membrane, usually it looks like a small cauliflower blisters, it mostly cure spontaneously in a few months but some times it takes years to disappear.
Warts treatment:
- it should be removed by a keratolytic agent such as 40% salicylic acid plaster which is left for days then replaced by a new one until the wart is removed ( may takes months ! )
- to be cured rapidly: the electric cautary or liquid nitrogen spray are used.
Warts are varied in site,size and shape, it could affect any part of the body, avoid touching infected people to prevent infection from reaching your body and don't avoid touching toads as it doesn't cause warts!
